You can reschedule your time up until 48 hours before the date you requested.

Week and Month rentals must be contiguous days.

You cannot reserve a week / month and use the time over an extended period.

If you are interested in reserving blocks of time please ask about any discounts in the reservation.

If weather is extremely poor, time will be rescheduled.

All time is on a first come first serve basis.

We encourage you bring your own storage ( external hard drive - thumb drive - flash drive )

We are not responsible for managing/storing your content on our premises.

All studio users expressly waive any claim of liability against J. Cannon, staff, NJ Sound Studio, Inc. and their related businesses.

No refunds are available.

If you require more than one month and would like to reserve a season like Winter non-exclusively please contact us and we will provide details.

The client who reserves studio time at NJ Sound Studio, Inc. or its related businesses is responsible for any damage to our facilities or equipment caused by anyone in attendance at your session (musicians, engineers, producers and any other of reserving client's guests).

Smoking is allowed outside only. Please keep the outside area clean of cigarette butts and use the receptacle or garbage can.

Our studio is located at 175 Mohawk Drive, River Edge NJ 07661 ( please go to the side door ) Directions Train stop is New Bridge Landing, River Edge Jitney is River Edge Stop

Deposit: NJsound requires a non refundable deposit equal to 1/2 the amount of time booked, due prior to day of service.

Payment: Payment is required before the start of each session. Payment may be made by cash or Venmo.

Data storage: NJsound is not accountable for lost or corrupted data while stored on studio hard drives. customers are strongly advised to bring personal hard drives for file storage.

Recording day: Load in, mic+equipment setup,lunch/dinner breaks, transfer between hard drives, backing up files, burning cds/dvds, are all part of the session. If technical problems arise (they can) then the engineer(s) will work later to make up for time lost during the session.

Overtime: If session goes into overtime, the customer is billed according to hourly rate (30 min.increments).

Starting Time: Billing will occur from the beginning of your scheduled time regardless of what time you arrive. When possible you may move-in and start setting up prior to your scheduled start time. Please be mindful that billing begins as soon as the engineer starts working with you in any capacity when arriving before scheduled time. This includes instrument setup, microphone placement, level setting, client data preparation, CD burning, etc. If during long sessions you wish to take a meal break, you may do so off the clock. This allows the engineer to work on other projects in the studio or take a break. If you want to work through the meal break to listen to the session, do edits, overdubs, etc., the clock continues to run. The engineer may choose to eat and work at the same time. Every two hours the engineer will take a 10 minute break to relieve ear fatigue. It is in the artist’s best interest that the engineer do so. When you indicate you are finished and the equipment is no longer in use the clock stops. (If a master is being burned, the clock continues to run until the master is finished.) Clean up is on us.

Cancellation policy: Cancellation period is 48 hours prior to session. 3+ day sessions must be canceled 5 days prior to session. Deposit is forfeit if session is not canceled accordingly.

Property Damage: The client who has made the booking with us is responsible for any damage to our facilities or equipment by anyone in attendance at your session (guests and musicians).

Technical Issues: Technical issues come up at any recording studio from time to time but very rarely. Time spent fixing technical issues are billable and part of our clients time. We are experts who can remedy all technical issues quickly to ensure a smooth session.

Additional Rates: If you require reference CDs at the conclusion of your session, we will burn the first CD at no additional material charge, but you will be charged for the time it takes to burn them. After the first CD a $3 per disc materials charge will be added to your final bill. DVDs are a flat $5 per disc. BluRay discs are $10 per disc.

IN NO EVENT WILL NJSOUND BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS OR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES OR THE BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
